Who Was the Late Engineer Meraj Abdolmaleki?

In Memory of the Late Eng. Meraj Abdolmaleki

The late Eng. Meraj Abdolmaleki, born on October 15, 1982, in Tehran, was a distinguished young professional, petroleum engineer, and specialist in Iran’s oil industry. Throughout his professional career, he gained valuable experience in organizations including the Marun Oil and Gas Production Company, the National Iranian Drilling Company, and the private sector of the oil industry.

He was among the youngest experts in the National Iranian Oil Company and, throughout his professional career, earned a distinguished position among his colleagues and fellow specialists through his technical knowledge, professional capabilities, and profound and responsible approach to the oil industry.

The late Eng. Meraj Abdolmaleki, like his esteemed father, the late Eng. Saeed Abdolmaleki, a recognized and influential figure at the National Iranian Drilling Company, possessed valuable technical knowledge and experience and had a promising future ahead of him in Iran’s oil industry.

He completed his university studies in Petroleum Engineering, specializing in Production, with outstanding academic achievement and excellent grades. From the early years of his professional career, he demonstrated a deep commitment to and genuine passion for Iran’s oil industry and its advancement.

What makes his name and memory truly enduring, beyond his professional knowledge and capabilities, were his commitment, professional ethics, warm and friendly character, sense of responsibility, and profound love for his homeland and Iran’s oil industry. He was a knowledgeable and forward-looking young professional who, alongside his technical expertise and capabilities, possessed a strong sense of ethics and humanity and consistently pursued progress and service to the country’s oil industry.

Yet, fate did not allow him to complete this journey.

On November 21, 2010, following a tragic and heartbreaking road accident, Eng. Meraj Abdolmaleki passed away at the age of 28, at a time when a bright future still lay ahead of him, answering the call of his Creator and returning to his Lord.

Undoubtedly, had he been among us today, given his knowledge, expertise, experience, commitment, and passion for the oil industry, he could have become one of the distinguished and influential figures in Iran’s oil sector.

His name and memory, like those of his honorable father, will remain alive in the hearts of his family, colleagues, and friends. The legacy he left behind through his knowledge, ethics, commitment, and devotion to the oil industry continues to remind us of a generation of professionals who regarded serving Iran and its oil industry as a noble and valuable mission.

May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory forever be cherished.

We respectfully invite you, dear visitor, to honor the memory of this beloved young man and distinguished late petroleum professional by reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, asking Almighty God to grant peace and blessings to his soul.

O Allah, forgive him and have mercy upon him.
